What is Feed?

Over eight years ago, in an attempt to live out Jesus' simple command to love our neighbour, we began to gather food and essential items to give away to whoever was in need in the local community. Today, FEED has become one of the county's largest food banks, giving out on average 80 bags of food a week.

HOW CAN I RECEIVE A BAG OF FOOD & ESSENTIALS?

Just come along to the church on Mondays between 10am and 12pm noon. We'll be running a cafe where we'll be happy to serve you a free coffee and breakfast. If you can't make a Monday morning or have just missed one then contact Carol.

Spring newsletter coming soon!

KIT
Open MONDAYS 10am-12pm

(except bank holidays)

KIT exists to support families of young children who find themselves struggling financially, whether short or long term. We primarily seeks to provide:

    • Children’s clothes and shoes for ages 0-5
    • School Uniform for ages 4-18
    • Various equipment, e.g. Moses baskets, cots, pushchairs, travel systems, highchairs,
baby chairs and bouncers, feeding equipment and bottles, baby baths, potties

Need help?

We make every effort to create a welcoming and friendly environment for parents and families. You can expected to be greeted with a coffee and some breakfast, and join a play session if you have young kids with you. Our team will do their best to source the clothes or equipment you need. We also have debt advisers and a family lawyer on hand to offer free advice to any client throughout the morning.

Who qualifies?

Outside agencies regularly refer families to KIT but anyone can approach us directly. Whether that's through our FEED food bank, our Vineyard church family or anyone in the community that needs a bit of extra support.

Want to help?

The new KIT ministry needs to build its team! So if you can offer practical help to wash, iron or sort clothes in the week, offer admin support or just be available to greet clients, get in touch with Heather Ryan on 01727 812765 or drop her an email.

FEED partners with the UK charity MAKE LUNCH to provide lunches during the holidays for families whose children benefit from free school meals. MAKE LUNCH KITCHEN will provide local children fresh and healthy meals during the school holidays, plus a lite bite for parents.

HOW CAN I Help?

FEED couldn't happen without the generous spirit of support from local individuals, charities & businesses alike. There are lots of ways you can help. You can drop off food donations at the church (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm & Sun 9am-1pm) - just download a shopping list to find out what we need. You can give regularly to the Feed Fund which will help us maintain our resources and meet any deficit in the ever growing need. Or perhaps you're able to give a couple of hours one day to help collect donations from generous shoppers at a local supermarkets. Lots of schools support us by making their own collections - so much so that it's become somewhat of a competition to collect the most items each year! Perhaps you'd like to set up a corporate collection in your work place. You are also welcome to join the growing volunteer team who run FEED on a Monday morning. Find out more about any of these avenues by dropping FEED a line.
