What is Lift?

Lift is a way for two or more people to share the car journey to Church. It is an online service that matches you with people going your way. Even if you have a car, travelling with someone else can be better than going alone. If you do have a car, please consider registering with Lift to share your journey with someone who needs it.

How it works—It’s easy!

• Click here to go to our private Vineyard page on the Liftshare site.
• Click again on the ‘sign up for free’ button.
• Follow the instructions, entering your details and your journey information.
• You will be sent an activation e-mail.
• Your account is then ready and you can search for matches on the ’My Journeys' tab.

Safety Tips
Lift is a private group set up with Liftshare.com for members of The Vineyard Church St Albans. Every step has been taken to make the site as secure as possible. However every person is responsible for their own safety so we recommend following these simple security measures:

• Avoid swapping personal details like home address until you have met in person.
• Arrange to meet in a public place and let family or friends know who you are travelling with and when.
• Use the advance search option to search by gender to ensure you are travelling with other women/men.
• You are under no obligation to offer/accept a lift so if in doubt about the person, avoid travelling with them.
