The Vineyard Church is just one of a global growing movement of churches that looks to make Christ known everywhere, in every way.  We worship God with passion, with intimacy, and expectation of His loving presence, influence and power. We serve God through serving others and look for ways to communicate our personal experience that Jesus is good news for all.

EQUIP courses play a crucial role in this life-giving adventure.

We invite you to join us on this journey of spiritual growth through a progression of free short courses, ranging from theological and biblical study to practical training. Each course is designed to empower and encourage, giving you wisdom, vision and confidence as you rise to God's call to attain maturity in Christ.

// I pray... asking God... to give you wisdom to see clearly and really understand who Christ is and all that he has done for you. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can see something of the future he has called you to share... I pray you will begin to understand how incredibly great his power is to help those who believe him.// Ephesians 1v17-19

Vineyard Introductions provides the essential foundation of our Equip training program. These 6 evenings will give you a good understanding of who we are, what we believe, and why we do everything we do.

New-ish here? Then join us for an essential introduction to the Vineyard Church! Hear where we’ve come from and where we’re placed in the UK Vineyard movement - and the wider Church generally. Discover our core beliefs and values, and our vision for the future. You’ll learn how we use the ‘Kingdom of God’ that Jesus so often talked about, as a lens to look at the world; explaining how it impacts and informs the way we read the Bible (including ‘spiritual gifts’), the way we pray for healing, the way we choose to live and the way we care and serve the community. It’ll also provide you with a great opportunity to meet our Senior Pastors Chris & Fliss, connect with the team here and meet more people from the church including other newcomers.

Tuesdays 7.45pm-9.45pm
20, 27 Feb & 6, 13, 20, 27 Mar 2018

Jesus commissioned his followers to "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Matt 28:18-21

Rising to the Call continues the Equip journey

Providing you with further tools and the confidence needed to respond effectively to this commission. We’ll look at what the Bible has to say about it, the part the Holy Spirit plays in helping us to do it, including how we can use the gifting He’s given us, and how your unique presence in this world is essential to God’s redemptive plan for creation. This is an opportunity to learn with others, with a bit of ‘practice’! Join us to work out how individuals like us can play a part in bringing God’s Kingdom to the world around us. Topics include:

Prophecy & Hearing the Voice of God
Our Spiritual Authority
The Spiritual Battle
Doing Ministry like Jesus
Dream Interpretation
In the Market place

Please note, we ask you to please complete Vineyard Introductions before you join Rising to the Call.
We recommend you attend all 6 sessions of this course.

Tuesdays 7.45pm-9.45pm

You can’t be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature. In this six-session Bible study, we are awakened to a biblical integration of emotional health and the classic practices of contemplative spirituality, leading to a relational revolution with Jesus. We will be using DVD material from celebrated author and pastor Pete Scazzero, along with small group study and reflection.

Many of us are sincere followers of Christ, people who are really passionate for God and play a part in church life - such as joining a Connect Group and serving on a Sunday. Even though we may be considered mature in our faith, we can still find ourselves 'stuck' —especially when faced with interpersonal conflicts and crises. The Emotionally Healthy Spirituality course offers us a strategy to address this void, offering pathways to transformation that will help us mature in our faith with authenticity and an established peace and confidence in God.

The course will include topics like:

The Problem of Emotionally Unhealthy Spirituality
Know Yourself that You May Know God
Going Back in Order to Go Forward
Enlarging Your Soul through Grief and Loss
Discovering the Rhythms of the Daily Office and Sabbath
Growing into an Emotionally Healthy Adult

Please note, this course is intended for those who have completed both Vineyard Introductions and Rising to the Call.
We recommend you attend all 6 sessions of this course.

Vineyard Training is a new digital platform, created by Vineyard Churches UK & Ireland to train our movement. It brings together the best Vineyard training in ministry specific modules for you to use whenever you need, on any device

CARE is the pastoral arm of the Vineyard Church. There are a number of relationship courses and ministries all designed to help you with life issues. Whoever you are, whatever you're going through, there's something here for you.

The Bible tells us that Jesus promised us life to the full. Yes despite our best efforts, some of us don’t feel like we are experiencing this. We struggle with serious doubts about our own worth, fighting very real disappointments, and it can feel like we’re simply surviving rather than living. It may be a challenge for some of us to own up that we are not doing as well as we may present to the world, and take a bit of courage to confess that we may struggle with certain issues and behaviours.

What is Restore?

Restore is a ministry providing an opportunity for men and women to address personal issues in a safe and confidential environment. Restore offers a place for us to uncover habitual deceptions we’ve believed about ourselves, other people and about God’s character. The course comprises of 10 sessions addressing, specifically, our relationships with our parents, our siblings and our peers. Restore aims to teach you how to use the tools you need to actively rely on Jesus and how to access healing from wounds and disappointments you may have experienced. Many people who’ve been on the course have experienced a level of transformation, enabling them to move into deeper, healthier relationships with God, themselves and others.

How does it work?

Each evening starts with a short time of worship. A member of the church will then speak about a particular topic being addressed that evening; we'll then break into smaller groups of 3-4 along with 2 pastoral team. Each person is prayed for by their group's pastoral team, and encouraged to engage in prayer themselves. This course is heavily reliant on the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and should be regarded as an opportunity for the individual to engage with the Holy Spirit themselves rather than prayer ministry from someone else.
Please note that this course should not be regarded as an alternative for counseling or other mental health treatment.

Next Running?

The next Restore course begins on 25th April 2018 (and runs for 10 weeks). You'll need to sign up through the online payment page (we charge a £60 course fee to help us to cover your Restore literature & our running costs), and also complete an application form before 23rd March 2018.

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." John 10v10

We run both Internships and a Discipleship Year here at Vineyard. If you are serious about engaging with Jesus and serving His Church, then contact Richard to find out more about what each of these involve.
