How do I get my needs met by ‘spending time with God’?
How does social media impact our self-image?

Trustee Recruitment Event

Trustee Recruitment Event

The transition of our senior pastor has created an opportunity to grow our trustee base; we need and welcome more of the church to become involved.

The role of trustees is to support the senior pastor in carrying out his God-commissioned purpose and ensure the church can operate within the laws and boundaries primarily of Vineyard Churches UK, the Charities Commission and the Companies Act.

It may seem a bit daunting to some and as such we have reviewed our model and are looking for a combination of general and seconded (specific needs) trustees that represent the diversity of our church.

Being a trustee is one of the ways you can serve in the church, if you have any professional skills or experience that you could offer as a trustee, we would love to speak to you.

If you think this may be for you please sign up and come along to the Trustee Recruitment Event, if you’re interested but unable to make it please email gil@thevineyardchurch.co.uk.

Easter Sunday Baptisms
Apr
21
10:45 AM10:45

Easter Sunday Baptisms

Join us this Easter Sunday for what promises to be a very special occasion!

Join us to celebrate those who make a public declaration to leave the patterns of their old lives behind and follow Jesus into a new exciting adventure filled with his love and affirmation! Just as Jesus rose from the dead, we symbolically rise with him into a new life.

// For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.// Romans 6.4

We're baptising those people who wants to follow Jesus and call Vineyard their church.

Perhaps you've made that decision to follow Jesus but haven't been baptised as an adult? (Child baptism/Christening is different as this is your personal decision.)

Whether you know you want to be baptised, or just interested in finding out more, choose and join us at a Baptism Preparation Class:

  • Thursday 11th April 7.30pm-8.15pm

  • Sunday 14th April 11am-11.45am

  • Monday 15th April 7.30pm-8.15pm

If you can't make any of the above dates, we will find a suitable alternative.

Whether you've been baptised, call yourself a follower of Jesus or not,  everyone is very welcome to join us this Easter Sunday. The service is contemporary so will be accessible to all.

Family Connect Group Taster Morning

Do you have young children?
Find it impossible to make an evening gathering whilst raising a family?
Is it hard to connect with friends when you’re always on ‘parent duty’?

Family Connect Groups are the perfect way for parents of young children to grow with God and connect with others. These take place one Saturday a month in the daytime. We start off with everyone worshiping together, then the dads will entertain with the kids while mums take some time for some bible study and prayer time by themselves; they then return to swap with the dads. Don’t discount yourself if you’re coming along without your partner or are a single parent - all parents are welcome!

One of our Family Connect Groups is running a ‘taster’ morning with Jon & Emma. So take a couple of hours out and come along to experience what one of these group is like. Perhaps you’ll meet other families you’d like to form a regular group with; Jon & Emma will be able to guide you through the possibilities and answer any questions you may have.

SIGN UP CLOSED - THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL

Can't make this date but would like to try one of these Family Connect Groups? Then drop Richard an email.

Breakthrough

Short and uplifting evenings that get straight to the point - we need God! Where we lack the ability, strength or influence, we’ll be asking God to make miraculous intervention.

Everyone is welcome - wherever you are in your faith journey.

If you have a particular gift for intercession or in the prophetic - make a point of joining us and use your gifting for its intended purpose!

This month we will be praying for our youth, and especially for an appointment of a new pastor with responsibility for youth.

Rising to the Call

Jesus commissioned his followers to “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:18-20

How many of us find this challenging?
Are overwhelmed by it?
Or feel inadequate for the task?

Rising to the Call is for those who have completed Vineyard Introductions, continuing the Equip journey giving you further tools and the confidence you need to respond to this commission. We’ll look at what the Bible has to say about it, the part the Holy Spirit plays in helping us to do it, including how we can use the gifting He’s given us, and how your unique presence in this world is essential to God’s redemptive plan for creation. This is an opportunity to learn with others, with a bit of ‘practice’! Join us to work out how individuals like us can play a part in bringing God’s Kingdom to the world around us. Topics include:

Prophecy & Hearing the Voice of God
Our Spiritual Authority
The Spiritual Battle
Doing Ministry like Jesus
Dream Interpretation
In the Market Place

This FREE course runs over 6 Tuesday evenings 7.45pm-9.45pm
26th Feb, 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th Mar & 2nd April
