You can be sure of two things. One: you have a soul. Two: you need to look after it, because you won't get another. Our souls aren't theological or philosophical subjects. They are the most real yet mysterious, evocative yet sacred, fragile yet indestructible, and eternal dimension of our existence. Jesus said our souls were worth more than the entire world itself.
This winter we'll be gathering to look at what our soul is, what our soul needs and how to take care and restore our souls.
We know that Jesus died to save our souls, but how does this affect our day to day lives? We know there is more to this life but don't know how to access it. We'd recommend you join the Soul Keeping course this winter. We try to understand just what the soul is and why changing our habits can change our lives.
WHAT WILL THE COURSE LOOK LIKE?
The course will run over seven Wednesdays evenings: Starting on 14th October 2015 and continuing on 21st, November 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th and finishing on 2nd December. We'll begin with some refreshments and time to relax a bit. Each session will watch a 25 minute video presented by course creator John Ortberg; we'll then move into smaller groups for a facilitated discussion about what we've just heard. You'll be recommended to complete activities as individuals throughout the week (between the group sessions).
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
The course is open to everyone who comes to Vineyard. The cost of the course is £25 which will help us cover materials and refreshments. You can either pay online now or sign up and pay on first evening. Book here.
