Jesus himself experienced first-hand what it is like to be a refugee. Homeless, hungry & helpless, refugees have left all their possessions, their home and culture behind them. Very often they find themselves unable to put down roots, unable to build a future for themselves or their family, and imprisoned by their situation. The Bible shows us again and again that God calls His people to feed the hungry, help the homeless, stand up for those who are vulnerable, and to love refugees.

There are more refugees today than after the Second World War. Vineyard are delighted to be working with the Refugee Council as they help to settle refugees in our county of Hertfordshire.

‘When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself…’ Leviticus 19 v 33-34
